Case Study and Outcome

In 2009, one of our clients engaged our services after being served with a Statement of Claim. The action was brought against our client by a corporation alleging overpayment to our client after he had closed his share trading account.

During the course of our investigations, we discovered that our client in fact had a cause of action against the company for loss of trading profits due to unauthorised share trading. Accordingly, after extensive investigations and advice from a senior barrister, proceedings were commenced against the company after about 12 months of litigation the matter was settled to our client's great satisfaction at mediation.
